1 DAY TOURS

• 1 DAY TRIP TO POÇO DO DIABO, TORRINHA CAVE AND PAI INÁCIO HILL

• LENÇÓIS – POÇO DO DIABO – TORRINHA CAVE – PAI INÁCIO HILL – LENÇÓIS (L) – Departure at 8:30 am in transfer to Poço do Diabo waterfall (20 km – 30min) and hiking by the riverbed until the top and the button of the waterfall. Same hike back and transfer to Lapa Doce cave(70 km 1 hour) and spend about 1 hour crossing (800m) inside the cave. Transfer to Pai Inácio Hill (42 km – 1h) and hiking until the top to enjoy the landscape. At the end of the afternoon transfer back for Lençóis (30 km – 40min).

*Poço do Diabo watefall – About 15 meters fall with a great natural pool.(the walk: in total 3 km – uphill and downhill).

* Lapa Doce – One of the most beautiful caves of the Chapada is known for its lounges with numerous rock formations and its big saloons.

*Morro do Pai Inácio (Father Ignacio’s Hill) – One of the highlights at Chapada Diamantina from where it is possible to have some of the most spectacular views of the region with series of flat topped mountains that are so characteristic of this landscape. It is very windy up there, but nevertheless there are plants and flowers.

• • LENÇÓIS – POÇO AZUL – POÇO ENCANTADO – LENÇÓIS (L) – Transfer to Poço Azul (94km – 1h30min), where is allowed snorkeling for 20 minutes. Lunch at local restaurante. Transfer to Poço Encantado (21km – 50min) . Visitation of 20 minutes (just contemplation). Afterwards, transfer back to Lençóis same way.

  Poço Azul – A crystal water lake in a cave, nicknamed Enchanted Pool “little brother”, it’s smaller and has a wooden platform for an easy access to the pool. The lighting changes according to the sun’s displacement. You can float 20min in the blue Pool.

  *Poço Encantado – The cave features a large lake of cobalt blue color that gets the sun rays directly on the water surfasse, causing a spectacular visual effect. The best time to visit is from April to September.

• 1 DAY TRIP TO FUMAÇA WATERFALL AND RIACHINHO

• LENÇÓIS – FUMAÇA WATERFALL – RIACHINHO WATERFALL – LENÇÓIS (Lb) – Transfer by car to the beginning of the trail (1h15min – 68 km). Walk up to the top of “Cachoeira da Fumaça” (12 km – return). Lunch box at the top. Walk back by the same way. Transfer to Riachinho (3km by car – 500 m walking). Transfer back to Lençóis.

  Cachoeira da Fumaça (Smoke Falls) – With a 340m drop, It was believed to be the country’s highest waterfall until the 353 m tall Cachoeira do Araca was recently discovered in the Amazon. The wind spreads the water and even carries it upwards, forming a curtain of droplets – thus the name “smoke”.

  * Riachinho – Waterfall with several falls forming a natural rock pool. Great for relaxing after a full day walking.

VALE DO PATI 3 DAYS

1º day – LENÇÓIS – GUINÉ – PATI (Lb, D) – Two and a half hours drive from Lençóis to Guine village. We passed by the Gerais of the Rio Preto, followed to the fantastic lookout from Pati Valley. Finally we stay overnight at the native’s house. On this day we will walk around 10 km, much of it in relatively flat trail with some climbs and descents.

2º day – FUNIS RIVER – CASTELO HILL (B, Lb, D) – After breakfast we go down the Funis River to the same waterfall name going through others too. After snacks we head to Morro do Castelo that on the top leads us to many breathtaking landscapes. This day is demanding by the ascent of the hill. Dinner and overnight at natives house.

3º day – CACHOEIRÃO VALLEY – GUINÉ – LENÇÓIS (B, Lb) We left the valley after breakfast towards Cachoeirão do Pati on top. A set of waterfalls in a canyon over 200 meters high. Where we have a snack and bathe in a natural pool (if there is enough water). We walk about 20km and the route may vary according to the weather or even the physical fitness of the group. Then a transfer will drive us back to Lençóis from Guiné Village.

FUMAÇA FROM BELOW 3 DAYS

1º day – LENÇÓIS – VALE DO CAPÃO – FUMAÇA BY THE TOP – TOCA DO MACACO (Lb, D) – A car transfer from Lençóis town to Vale do Capão village for about 1h30 minutes time. Arriving at the buttom of the hill that heads to the top of Fumaça canyon. We start an hour hike up to Fumaça Gerais and on the top we will walk about 1 hour more until the Fumaça top area to enjoy it´s impressive landscape. After we go by Macaco downhill until the end of the Fumaça Valley for the overnight.

2º day – TOCA DO MACACO – FUMAÇA VALLEY / BUTTOM – CAPIVARA WATERFALL (B, Lb, D) – From the Toca do Macaco, after the breakfast, another impressive landscape. We walk trought Fumaça Valley and it´s beatiful forest reaching the bottom of Fumaça waterfall (if enoght water) and see the 400m rocky walls with the possibility to swing in the natural pool there. After we go back all the valley and walk to Capivara waterfall by the same river valley for the camping area.

3º day – CAPIVARA – PALMITAL WATERFALL – SERRA DO VENENO – LENÇÓIS (B, Lb) – After the breakfast we walk to the Palmital stream to enjoy it´s beatiful waterfall and great natural pool. Good morning there, we walk up the hill to the Toca da Onça, an amazing landscape possible to see the Capivari waterfall and the meeting of Capivari and Capivara rivers, also the east side after Chapada Diamantina hills. Crossing the Muriçoca stream and reaching the Veneno downhill until the Ribeirão do Meio pool, a classic natural atraction of Lençóis. After a bath, still an hour walk until Lençóis center, finishing our amazing trekking.
